Adrienne was born in Santa Monica, California to a celebrity show business couple and raised in Queens, New York.… Adrienne graduated from New York University, studied at The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, and The Herbert Berghoff HB Studios. She was inspired to pursue a career in Public Relations by some of the best in the business. This includes but is not limited to the Queen of Broadway press agents, Irene Gandy, Iconic theatrical producer Jeffrey Richards, and PR Marketing Wiz Steve Manning. (who was responsible for much of Michael Jackson’s early success)
Adrienne’s big PR break came in 1988 when she was chosen by a client to direct the Mid-Atlantic region Media and Radio campaign for R&B maestro himself Mr. Barry White.
She then went on to secure recording and production deals for R&B, Hip Hop and Pop artists. There were times when she would fill in as acting manager until artists were signed to professional management companies. A choice few artists that Adrienne help get signed are household names today. During the 1990s while working on her PR skills she co-owned and operated four consecutive Nightclubs in Brooklyn and Queens New York with then-husband Panamanian entrepreneur Gustavo Mendoza. He was the cousin and personal manager to the legendary boxer, Roberto Duran. Adrienne handled all business for the establishments including entertainment bookings, artist contracts, marketing, and all hospitality.
As the years went on Adrienne traveled with many of her clients around the globe in the capacity of Press Agent and Crisis Communications Director. In 2008 she started researching the careers of her father Actor/Comedian and Entrepreneur Bud Harris and her mother Concert Pianist/ Entertainer Lillette Harris. It was then that she discovered an article that changed everything, the 1945 Pittsburgh Courier news article about Lillette’s Rhythm Club the first Black-owned and operated Casino, Nightclub and Hotel in Sparks-Reno Nevada. Adrienne started writing the script and the stage musical is currently in the workshop phase with previews garnering rave reviews.
